some tips that will help you in a long way to crack this exam as well.
Know
The Basics- As you head for your dream college admission and subsequently
for this exam, you must also first inquire about the requirements of this exam.
For instance, certain top management colleges in India prefer a higher score in writing skills, while others
lookout for better speaking skills. So, know their preferences well and prepare
accordingly.
Improve
Your Typing Skills- As the entire exam is to be attempted by typing the answers; you
must be very confident of your fingers. The typing speed needs to be good as
you are supposed to write for a stretch of four hours. Even if you are good at
typing, do practice typing on different computers because generally you get so
used to your keypad and when given a new one, you are bound to get nervous,
which will affect your typing speed.
Secrets
for the Reading Section- Firstly, you must know that it is not necessary to know the
meaning of every single word in the passage. Practice the reading
comprehensions without the use of a dictionary. Later, of course you can know
the meanings. You need to skim through the passage and focus only on the area
that the question pertains. The fixed questions are about the main idea of the
passage, vocabulary related, and few inference questions.
Secrets
for the Speaking Section- In this section, it is okay to stop for a few seconds now of
responding. However, try to be brief so that if time allows, you can also sum
up your viewpoint with a conclusion. The candidate will surely loose marks on
poor pronunciation, wrong idioms, and improper use of vocabulary.
